I believe that visual art has a transformative purpose. I try to synthesize different influences in my life into a rich and complex imagery that tells of the connection between the outer experience of daily life and the inner world of a developing spiritual heart. I work with multiple media, including acrylics, oils, watercolor, pastels and encaustics.

Painting, for me, is a time to be with myself and my thoughts. It helps me analyze things and not react too quickly or badly. I have learned how to deal with certain negative thoughts through the painting process. When I place a new canvas on my easel, there is a moment when I feel that everything is within my power. And when the painting is completed, I feel that it has a part of me in it.
